22 Apr Florals made simple
The joy of small scale, not-too-fussy floral wallpaper and fabrics is that they offer an easy way to add a discretely feminine touch to a room without overwhelming it.
A good source of these – both as fabrics and wallpapers – is Cabbages and Roses that sells a wide range of simple, one colour designs that can either be used as a feature wall or to make cushions that create a country look with a light touch (this bedroom is in the home of Cabbages and Rose’s founder, Christina Strutt). Their Hatley fabric is £48 a metre from Cabbages and Roses.
Clarke & Clarke sells Delphine that has a similar feel (the wallpaper is £36 a roll from wallpaperdirect.com).
