This photograph, showing a magnificent 4 poster bed, first appeared in House and Garden Magazine and shows perfectly Paisley Parrot, a printed poplin fabric designed by Lulu Lytle of Soane Britain.
Lulu encountered the ‘parrot within a parrot’ design on a mid 19th-century Indian textile, its intricate flower details imitating those on woven paisley shawls from an earlier period. The colouring has been kept as true as possible to the original, resulting in a lavish nine colour print on poplin.
